AeraMax Pro's filtration system has four-stages that actively work to clean the air you share. What makes the filtration process so extremely effective? AeraMax Pro air purifiers benefit from different functional filter types to eliminate air concerns down to ultrafine particles. Additionally, AeraMax Pro has a smart filter recognition technology that allows the air purifier to recognize what type of filter has been installed, allowing the machine to perform optimally per the type of filter inserted.
The pre-filter actively removes large particles such as visible dust, pet dander, or pollen. The pre-filter also works to expand and protect the lifespan of other filters.
2. Active Carbon Filter
The active carbon filter works to adsorb odors and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as cleaning agents, vapors from office equipment, and pesticides. Our commercial-grade carbon particle filters have more carbon content and surface area than typical consumer-grade carbon-impregnated weaves. This means they are designed to keep performance during their defined lifespan. While carbon filters remove odors and VOCs, they do not on their own remove dust and other allergens.
3. True HEPA filtration
True HEPA filtration with antimicrobial treatments remove 99.97 percent of airborne particles at 0.3 microns while preventing bacteria and fungi build up. The antimicrobial treatment also kills any mold or mildew that can grow on the filter. True HEPA filtration removes dust, pollen, mold spores, dust mites, allergens, and many other bacterias. It is proven to be most effective compared to UV air purifiers, UV-C disinfection or Ultra-Violet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI).
Our True HEPA filters conform to IEST 1.5 HEPA Standard, which proves 99.97 percent effectiveness at the 0.3 micron size. Our HEPA filter, like our carbon filter, is thicker and has more weaves allowing more surface area; the thicker weaves allow our air purifier to efficiently run more air through. So, more surface area allows our commercial-grade air purifiers to run more efficiently while maintaining the True HEPA (99.97%) filtration standard.
In addition, our filters can capture more than 97.8 percent of pollutants at 00.1-0.15 microns, based on IBR Laboratories test data.
A fallacy: HEPA Stops Filtering Below 0.3 Microns
HEPA filters do not work like a sieve. The reality is that HEPA filters can capture ALL particle sizes. Due to the physics of how HEPA filters work (diffusion, interception, and impaction), there is often an insignificant drop in filtration efficiency close to 0.3 micron. Filtration efficiency continues at a high percentage well below this particle size.
4. PlasmaTRUE™ Technology
PlasmaTRUE technology creates an electrical discharge that produces ions in the air... and those ions provoke particles in the air to be charged. These charged ions cause other oppositely charged ions to cluster together and become larger. When they become large enough, they fall to the floor or get caught in the filter. AeraMax Pro uses ionization to help with its filtration process's overall efficiency, purifying the air even before it gets to the filter. By doing so, PlasmaTRUE technology works to extend filter life.
